The University of Miami Writing Center

The Writing Center provides free services for all UM students, faculty, and staff. The Writing Center will reopen on January 12, 2026.

How we work : We offer one-on-one appointments (50 minutes) for students from all three campuses: Coral Gables Richter Library’s Learning Commons (where we are also known as “Write”); Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences; and the Miller School of Medicine. To make an appointment, sign in or register in the form to the left. 

We also hold specialized consultations for faculty and researchers working on grants, articles, posters, presentations, and any other writing or research projects. Those appointments will continue during the winter break. To schedule a consultation for these services, follow the QR code below:
